Missed call cost calculator: what unanswered calls cost you

Enter four numbers from your own business. You get the revenue missed calls likely cost you each month, and how much an automatic text-back or AI receptionist could win back at a conservative recovery rate.

Assumption: 25% of the lost jobs are won back. This is our cautious planning figure, not a measured average. Pick 10% for a worst case.

How the calculator works

It multiplies five things you control. Nothing is pulled from a hidden benchmark.

Missed calls per month = calls per week × 4.33 × % missed
Revenue at risk = missed calls × close rate × average job value
Won back = revenue at risk × recovery assumption

4.33 is the average number of weeks in a month (52 ÷ 12).

What to do with the number

Compare the monthly "won back" figure with what a fix costs. A missed-call text-back is the lightest fix: the caller gets a text within seconds and can reply or book. An AI receptionist goes further and answers the call itself, day and night. Prices are on our pricing page, and every quote is fixed before work starts.

Questions

Where do I find my missed-call rate?

Most business phone systems and carriers show answered and missed calls in a call log or report. Count a week of calls, then divide missed by total.

Is my data saved or sent anywhere?

No. The math runs in your browser. Nothing you type is stored or sent to us.

Why not assume every missed call is won back?

Because that would overstate the result. People who reach voicemail often call the next business on the list. A fast reply wins some of them back, not all, so the calculator stays conservative.
